Branford Road Race Benefiting Charities
Over the years, Branford Road Race has proudly donated thousands of dollars to local non-profits and community organizations. This year we will be partnering with the following charities: Branford Community Dining Room, Camp Rising Sun and American Parkinson Disease Association.
Branford Community Dining Room
The Community Dining Room is committed to providing meals to the community and supporting basic human needs. Our vision is to see a well-nourished community. We strive to promote public awareness of the impact of hunger and isolation in our society. We are dedicated to helping our guests with their practical needs through referrals and fellowship.
Branford Food Pantry
Every week, the Branford Food Pantry serves neighbors without jobs or who have reduced hours, the elderly living on Social Security, single parents, people with disabilities, and the working poor. They all seek help to make it from day to day; help that might enable them to pay their rent or heating bill, or simply have a nutritious meal. The mission of the Branford Food Pantry is to provide groceries for Branford residents in need.
Camp Rising Sun
Camp Rising Sun exists to provide a safe, nurturing environment for kids who have faced the diagnosis of cancer so that they may grow and learn from their experiences to become the best they can be. Camp Rising Sun is 100% donation-driven. Every donation, large or small, helps to keep Camp going and ensure that it remains cost-free for our campers.
American Parkinson Disease Association
The American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA) is the largest grassroots network dedicated to fighting Parkinson’s disease (PD) and works tirelessly to help the approximately one million with PD in the United States live life to the fullest in the face of this chronic, neurological disorder.
